Membership
IFRA represents national and regional associations, whose members include fragrance ingredient and compound manufacturers and suppliers.
Individual companies are IFRA members, essentially through membership of a national or regional association, but may also become direct ordinary members of IFRA while keeping membership of national or regional associations since the 39th General Assembly of October 17, 2007, who voted to amend the bylaws accordingly.
IFRA’s Ordinary Members include Australia (FFAANZ), Brazil (ABIFRA), Indonesia (AFFI), JAPAN (JFFMA), Mexico (ANFPA), Singapore (FFAS), USA (FMA) and Europe (EFFA). EFFA’s members are Germany (DVRH), France (PRODAROM), Italy (AISPEC), Netherlands (NEA), Spain (AEFAA), Switzerland (SFFIA), Turkey (AREP) and UK (BFA). EFFA’s members are members of IFRA through EFFA.
IFRA's Observer Members currently include Argentina (CAFEPA), China (CAFFCI) and Colombia (ANDI).

IFRA’s members are divided into four distinct categories:
Ordinary Member - These are regional associations (and in the absence of regional associations, national associations) approved by the General Assembly for membership. They are full voting members and have access to all IFRA resources. They support IFRA with dues determined by share of industry sales.
Observing Member - These are national associations who are not Ordinary Member. They receive many of the benefits of membership but have no voting rights. They pay an annual fee determined by the General Assembly.
Candidate Member - These are national associations without Ordinary Member status. They may request information of interest to their country, along with advice and support in advocacy efforts with their governments from IFRA. These members are due to provide information to IFRA on legislative trends and plans and information on local trade practices. They have no voting rights.
Supporting Member - These are individual companies that are IFRA members through regional and national associations, yet pay an annual fee directly to support the organization. They have access to IFRA staff, documents and reports, and they participate in IFRA Committees work. They have no voting rights at the General Assembly meetings.
