IFRA UK is a member of: The International Fragrance Association (IFRA) http://www.ifraorg.org and The Alliance of Industry Associations AIA http://www.aiabusiness.org. Members are able to access either directly or through IFRA UK the services and information provided by these organisations. The Fragrance Industry is governed in part by self-regulation under the auspices of the IFRA Standards and Codes of Practice. It is mandatory for all members to comply with these Standards. One of the most commonly cited advantages of IFRA UK membership is the advance notification that Members receive on changes to the guidelines, through information relayed on the deliberations of the IFRA Scientific Committees. Co-operation and liaison with government departments is vital to IFRA UK’s ability to influence both UK and European legislation and ad hoc meetings are held when issues arise, supported by information received from the membership on how issues will affect their companies. The IFRA UK also has regular communications with other trade associations such as the UK Cleaning Products Association (UKCPI), Cosmetic, Toiletries & Perfumery Association (CTPA) and The British Aerosol Manufacturers Association (BAMA).
