Timeline for implementation of new IFRA Standards

Following the issuance of new or amended IFRA Standards (as part of an Amendment to the IFRA Code of Practice), there is a common misperception by some regulators, NGO's or other stakeholders that all marketed consumer products are required to adhere to the timing specified by IFRA for modification of the fragrance compound-only portion of that product. This is clearly erroneous, and an expanded process and explanation needed to be developed by the fragrance supplier and consumer product manufacturer communities in order to avoid unwarranted accusations of non-compliance.

The below document describes the compliance timeline currently enforced for the fragrance suppliers and the recommended timeline for the consumer product manufacturers.
