IFRA broadly welcomes the proposed measures. The Commission has devoted a great deal of effort to assess all the aspects of this issue and more specifically the importance of distinguishing the needs to protect un-sensitized consumers from induction and providing adequate information to avoid elicitation in previously sensitized consumers.
IFRA welcomes the EU proposed measures on fragrance allergens
The EU Commission has published its proposed measures designed to enhance the protection of consumers from potential fragrance allergens. The measures are now open for public consultation.

The first Annual Review of the IDEA Project (International Dialogue for the Evaluation of Allergens) was held in Luxembourg under the auspices of DG SANCO (Directorate General Health & Consumers).
